35 S I P N O R T H W E S T C O M MAKE Granville Negroni Being part of the Pacific Northwest means coffee is always on our minds and a few roasted beans can add a wonderful rich flavor to Cynar an amaro with lovely bitter botanicals and earthy spices East Van Roasters Coffee is a must for this combo but any local medium roast of your preference will do MAKES 1 cocktail 1 ounce The Liberty Distillery Endeavour Origins Gin ounce Coffee infused Cynar recipe follows ounce Campari 1 ounce sweet vermouth GARNISH wide orange peel DIRECTIONS Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass fill three quarters full with ice and stir gently until well chilled Strain over an ice sphere or large format ice cube in a rocks glass Express the orange peel over the drink twist and add to glass Coffee Infused Cynar MAKES 8 ounces 1 cup Cynar 2 tablespoons medium roasted coffee beans DIRECTIONS In a mason jar combine the Cynar and coffee beans Cover with a lid and shake Let infuse for 2 days then strain into a bottle Cap and store at room temperature for up to 6 months TASTE The Liberty Distillery Endeavour Origins Gin This gin is an annual favorite on Vancouvers Granville Island Made with 100 percent BC grown organic grain it is The Liberty Distillerys version of a traditional dry style gin and boasts an impressive mix of 25 BC grown botanicals Origins is an excellent choice for traditional gin cocktails with a smooth and inviting character The juniper is a pleasant standout in both aroma and flavor
